Abundance is a choice and so is scarcity

By Murli Chari

Our rational minds always analyze and uses market dynamics to decide whether what we aspire is realistic or not. Those who believe in abundance mentality are the true leaders as they ensure that everyone enjoys affluence. Those with scarcity mentality use market dynamics and promotes cutthroat competition. Abundance mentality triggers an avalanche of ideas on which to act. Scarcity mindset creates crooks and charlatans who use shenanigans to con the gullible masses. Those who have abundance mindset always work on solutions to create an egalitarian affluence for all. Abundance mentality aspires to create a salubrious society as it is sanguine of an affluent society for everyone to become prosperous. On the other hand, scarcity mind-set people resort to unethical and unscrupulous means to achieve their ends. All the ominous and internecine war and bellicose feelings emanate from scarcity mind-set. Those with abundance mind-set always create more out minimal resources thus promoting eco-friendly development. However, those with scarcity mind-set always scramble in the mistaken belief that the supply is running out. An abundance mindset thrives when they are more in number as it is a rare quality. They are also more humane in their approach. Scarcity mindset burgeons wars, carnage, devastation, and mayhem. This mindset has a vey skewed paradigm that we must cut corners or climb on the bodies of others to succeed. Abundance mindset seeks cooperation and humanitarian approach to all intractable problems. However, scarcity mindset is always on the loggerheads with one another. Abundance mindset is very generous, humane, and compassionate. Scarcity mindset considers every other person as his foe and competitor. It thinks one cannot become wealthy by sharing his knowledge and wealth with others. Abundance mindset on the other hand believes in sharing and caring. We, in India must have noticed that after the great economic reforms in the 90s many scarce commodities were affordable, accessible, and available. Licensing and rationing lead to scarcity and black marketing. Abundance mindset releases the hidden potential and energies of millions. Scarcity mindset on the other hand believes in hoarding and stinginess. The abundance mindset triggers an avalanche of bright ideas which can liberate millions from poverty. Just imagine how few decades ago we had to book our vehicles, telephones and gas connection and wait for years to get them. Now, with liberalization most of the scarce commodities are available easily and at an affordable price making the lives of millions very easy. Abundance mindset seeks cooperation and coordination creating a congenial clime for every one of us to thrive and flourish. Scarcity mindset pits us against one another. It is like a hungry tiger prowling around and waiting to ambush its victim. There is an atmosphere of paranoid. Nations go on war due to this scarcity mindset as they believe that they must violently grab material riches from other nations. The very nature of competition and combativeness emanate from scarcity mindset. Our sprawling universe with abundant resources is proof enough of the fact that we are surrounded by a cornucopia of resources available for all of us to enjoy unlimited affluence. May it be an individual or a nation it is a choice between abundance and scarcity. It is ridiculous that we human beings are partaking poison when they have an ocean of nectar available to them. This can make everyone healthy, happy, and peaceful. Scarcity on the other hand is creating a climate of mutual mistrust and suspicion. It is also inhumane that there should be a huge difference in the living style of the ultrarich and pathetically poor human beings.

Now with the unprecedented and phenomenal growth in science and technology has the inherent quality of being an abundant mindset. We can bury the hatchet of scarcity mindset which has wreaked havoc with human lives and switch on to the new paradigm of abundance mindset and open the floodgates of affluence for each one of us and turn our beautiful planet into an abode of celestial being. Scarcity mindset has always created an atmosphere of violence, hatred, and bloodbath. We are squandering the valuable resources on promoting scarcity mindset rather than channelizing the same resources for creating abundance for all of us. It is abundance mindset which has immense potential create a wonderful world.
